We are living in strange times, and we count ourselves fortunate to be able to continue communicating with friends and family, even if we can't give them a physical hug.
We're not booking any physical fayres at the moment, but we hope to be back out 'on the road' before Christmas. These 10cm x 10cm fused glass plaques have been mounted inside a box frame and highlighted with a contrasting cord. The frames are approximately 22cm square 3cm deep. They are stable enough to stand freely on a shelf, and come with fitting to allow them to be hung if that's your fancy.
These plaques require multiple firings to build the finished piece. The first firing creates the main background from a square of clear glass over a square of coloured glass. The petals are then hand-cut from a contrasting colour glass, and assembled on the plaque. Topped of with a pre-made bead, the whole piece is then tack fused to around 760C to fix everything together without losong the 3d texture.
Due to the way in which glass moves when heated, and because all pieces are hand cut, each of our pieces are unique.
